Emily Hale is a Produce Safety Technician with the Blue Water Conservation District where she works with produce growers in Huron, Sanilac, St. Clair, Macomb and Wayne Counties. Her goal is to enhance grower’s awareness and adoption of safe food management practices. Emily enjoys being on the farm with growers and helping them navigate the FSMA Produce Safety Rule and the Michigan Produce Safety Risk Assessment. She assists growers as they prepare for Produce Safety Rule inspections and as they introduce produce safety practices on their farms. Emily attended Michigan State University where she studied Agribusiness Management. She spends her free time working on her family farm in the Thumb of Michigan where they raise sheep, cattle and hogs as well as grow produce, flowers and row crops. Emily loves sports and is a passionate Spartan basketball fan! Go Green!
